Im back

Should be at work today but I had the phone on silent so I missed Kathleen's call last night.Austin and Vincent rang to know what I was doing but io told them I wouldn't bother to go in.I have days worked up .It is better to use them when they are there I think.

I have really felt behind in my Journalism.Reading back it does give a certain perspective on life which I wouldn't have if I did not bother

It is impossible to recall every event since my last entry so I will go on what I can remember.

Was in Monivea last night.Did the four pubs. The only bit of life was in Kelly's where there was a hen party on.Youngsters going around dancing, singing, and enjoying themselves.

When I was in McGann's I handed a fiver to Padraig for a ginger ale but he only gave me 20 cents back.I didn't want to say anything. He must be getting forgetful.

I had a Bord Bia audit eventually on Friday after postponing it on Thursday because I had a tooth out on Wednesday.(It is still a bit sore but is healing)

Carmel was out yesterday. She showed us the youtube video of herself singing with the Athenry musical society. And guess who was in the background. The person she most loathes in the whole world-Kennedy

I had a mediocre week last week on.I had to go to Brooke lodge to help out Austin and Burke. It wasn't too bad when Burke and Leehy were around but It can be difficult at times working with Austin. He tends to be overcautious about everything and he does tell the odd fib

The weanlings are coming on nicely. They are eating the meal and they have nice young grass over in the calla.
I may sell the bullock next Thursday in Athenry as cattle prices are dropping a bit and the may be on the way down after being dear since last year

My Own Thinking...!

http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/10/can-physics-and-philosophy-get-along/?nl=opinion&emc=edit_ty_20120511

My own thinking, as I go towards my own time to cut away from my own life - seems fairly simple! I have several thoughts for you to share - if you want it?

***There is a "power" everywhere - "we" all know it is there, "we" do not need to understand it, "we" can just live it until each of us cuts away from there own life!

***There are basic "choices" that each of us have (to more or less) - one of them is to try to be good, instead of bad, to Earth Planet and what it is on and in it!

***There are wonderful new "things" around each of our "corners" that "we" can explore - and there are always more, around another "corner", when "we" have the the expertise to sharpen our "minds" and figure stuff out!

***Our Earth Planet needs help in order to make things work better NOW - lets pick you and me and anyone else that wants to "play" and get into the "game" of life!

The Lifeline!

http://www.npr.org/2012/05/11/152466134/same-bible-different-verdict-on-gay-marriage?ft=3#commentBlock

On The News Everywhere,

All religious, philosophic writings, from every time and place in Earth Planet, have always come from a "human" mind - that has been "translated" from some "other" power, to be understood for "us"! But,there has never been a "link" from that "other" power to "us", except in some "human" minds that decided about faith within there "own" human thinking! The "link" just does not have a "translation" that "we" can "understand" - now, or probably never ever!

For me, it's OK just to try to live as good a life as I can - until I cut my own lifeline, and find out if there is another available!

Its Good!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-us-governments-outdated-view-of-china/2012/05/10/gIQAUvgaGU_story.html?wpisrc=nl_opinions

To Earth Planet,

WE HAVE ARRIVED - TO EVERYONE, TO EVERYPLACE - THAT'S GOOD!

"...The Internet is the first medium in the history of Communist rule in China that the government has not been able to fully control. The authorities hire hundreds of thousands of police and spend billions of yuan annually monitoring the Web and blocking unwanted messages. Yet for hundreds of millions of Chinese, the Internet continues to grow as a source of uncensored news and platform for popular expression. Regarding Chen, Internet opinion has been overwhelmingly positive..."

Some "writing" is just "gobbledegook" - maybe "most"!

We WIN!

http://campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/09/liberty-and-justice-for-all/?nl=opinion&emc=edit_ty_20120510

A step towards another level of civilization - our USA is trying again! There will be much thought as "we" work through the steps, but it seems that "humanity" will really WIN this time!

Entwined!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/obamas-moment-on-gay-marriage/2012/05/08/gIQAjACUBU_story.html?wpisrc=nl_opinions

This is the "twined", between "religion" and "sociology", that must be "entwined" - if "we" ever get over it! It's just simple logic, and civilization good step forward with this - if "we" want to!

My Free Cycle - Pentium PC

Signed up to My Free Cycle.
Advertised old PC and all accessories to go.
May take some pics later and then dismantle everything and put in shed.

Oh my, what a few days it's been!
Well I didn't end up dismantling my old pentium as Thursday was pretty hectic getting things organised for my job which I'm starting on Monday.

Friday 11th May 2012
So on Friday afternoon after running around all day after my car and my fiancee's works open day we got back and I checked my e-mail to find more than 30 responses to my advert on Free Cycle for my old 1997 Pentium from PCS Direct.

I couldn't believe how many takers there were. So it was a great opportunity to ensure that the PC and the hundreds of accessories all went that night. I started with a few responses and everyone still wanted it. So I took the view point so as not to distinguish with all the good people interested in claiming it, a first come first serve give away.

With that a guy phoned in response to my text after he had left his mobile. At first he couldn't come until after 8.00 to which I replied I needed it gone and was letting it go to the first taker. So after finding out he was local in Rogerstone he decided to come for it there and then and would be with us in 15 minutes.

So then it was a manic dash to pull it all apart and get it downstairs ready for collection. My god, I just hadn't realised just how many extra's I had accumulated in my desk top days before switching to lap tops. So off the top of my head, as it has all gone this is what went :_

+ Pentium 2 with CD read drive and floppy drive internal
+ 2nd CD read/write drive
+ Digital Camera
+ Ergonomic Keyboard
+ 2 x PS mice
+ sub woofer box with speakers (brill sound system)
+ 1 x double floppy disk box with software
+ 2 x single floppy disk boxes with software
+ Hard plastic CD Case
+ Stationary Caddy for paper and Ink
+ HP Colour Jet Printer
+ 2 x CD shelf racks
+ Hard plastic CD case
+ Mini pc stationary caddy (pens, paper clips etc.)
+ Document Holder
+ Computer Manuals for Windows 95 & Office 97
+ 17" monitor
+ 2 boxes of unused floppy disks
+ PCS Direct Manuals and Windows 95 Licence

Well I think that is it, but if I remember anything else then I will add it on to the list. Not bad eh as something for nothing!

All that's left now is clearing the aftermath of the our home office and a good day tomorrow to have a jolly thorough clear out of anything else from the past!!!!

Thanks Free Cycle, I'll be visiting you again soon :)
